An unscripted and hungover video critique of the 75th New Contemporaries at the Institute of Contemporary Arts. They usually make you pass a test before purchasing podcast equipment, but as God’s favourite critic I was spared the embarrassment (sorry for bad audio EQ, I’m getting used to microphones). Many thanks to the Gertrude app (which you should download) for such easy access and information about the artists and their works.

This is a great observation on how textile art is being discussed and showcased these days. I wonder if it’s linked to the current trend of emphasising support for underrepresented groups and female artists and showing textiles in commercial galleries and at fairs, prompting a deliberate effort to combine these elements.
